Streams Of Water In The Streets

Streams Of Water In The Streets

Like a reading lantern
On your table
Serving you
That you may be able
To tell difference between
A poem and a fable

Like ink
In your pen
Following the tube
One to ten
It's of no use
To a hen!

It should be
Like a hungry raven
With its catch
Feeling in heaven
Enjoying the best haven

Drink water
From your own cistern
Let them be
For yourself alone
Not for foreigners
From North or Eastern
Being filled by the
Flowing water from your well

Let it not be
Streams Of Water In The Streets
Serving the homeless
Thieves and the banished
That to which
Every soul branches
For life!

(Adopted from Prov.5:16)
